Gahtan has over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to setting up Cordus Capital in 2015, Gahtan was responsible for Tullett Prebon’s Alternative Investment's business in the Middle East. Before joining Tullett Prebon, he held various portfolio management roles at Erste Bank AG and the Axiom Alternative fund in London originating investment ideas and allocating capital to emerging managers in the alternatives sector. Gahtan began his career at PwC Consulting’s Strategy Consulting Group in Lahore. He received a BA in Economics & Political Science from McGill University in 2000.
George is the founder of the Denholm Hall Group, a CEE focused financial advisory and asset management group based in Moscow. He has advised several major municipalities on financial strategy including, Krakow, St Petersburg and Moscow. Prior to setting up Denholm Hall in 1992, he was Risk Manager for the Fixed Income and Treasury departments at S.G. Warburg. he also founded S.G Warburg's Quantitative Research Group in 1988 and the Arbitrage Group in 1990. He began his career at Citigroup, London in 1983. George received a B.A. in Mathematics at Athens University and read towards a DPhil at the University of Oxford.
George has over 30 years of experience advising mid to large UK and Global companies on corporate and operational strategy with a focus on high growth businesses and new technology. His sectoral experience includes; renewables/cleantech, oil & gas, nuclear, space and med-tech. He was previously CEO of Strathclyde University Incubator and has developed multiple businesses to ultimate exit. He began his career as an Electrical Engineer. George received an MBA in International Business and Finance from the University of Strathclyde.
